I wanted to take a minute before we started today to say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for showing up for yourself, thank you for listening, thank you Thank you to you because without you, we wouldn't have it growing, and we wouldn't be doing any of this.
This podcast has been something that I had thought about for a while I had known. For a while, I had been nudged to do it. For a while, I had been told that I needed to do it by my spirit team. I asked if I would do it because they kept telling me that the messages that I had to share needed to be shared. I believe that we learn in different ways and can learn different things from different people, even though we may be talking about a lot of the same things. You may hear it from someone, you may hear it from me in a different way than what you've heard it before, and it may resonate with you. Spirit has made that abundantly clear to me that I need to be talking about the things that I have learned and the development process and the things that I have gone through to help other people get through their development process and understand more about themselves. I just wanted to take a minute and say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for showing up for yourself, thank you for doing your work, and for caring about personal development and healing your past, and healing your life so that you can live your best life. I am over the moon excited to be able to talk to you and share my insights and the things that I have learned over the years. I just wanted to say that before we got started today.
Today I'm very excited to talk about our spirit team. I have to admit this is something that I don't talk about a lot. I really studied my guides and my spirit team when I did my mediumship development, and when I sat mediumship aside, and I have sat it aside, I do. I call myself the 20% medium. I'm the 80% healer. I love doing healing work Absolutely. It makes my heart sing. I spend every day thinking about it, wondering how I can help on a different level. I also spend a lot of time connecting with my guide team, and it's not something that I talk about a lot. I want to start talking more about that because it was very interesting.
I got an email one day from another person that I follow talking about her spirit team, and I heard in my head why do you not talk about your spirit team? I thought I don't know why don't I talk about that? because that's very much a part of my life. It's very much a part of who I am and how I make decisions and how I go about my life, because of my spirit team. I'm where I am today Because I've learned to listen to them. I'm where I am today. It really got me thinking and it was very interesting because I sent out an email on it. I was just like you know what? I think I'm going to start talking about my spirit team. I think I'll do a spirit team class and I think I'll send out an email. Do you know that that email got the highest open rate of all my emails? It also got the highest click rate of all my emails.
For me it was kind of that ding ding, ding ding moment of oh my God, we need to be talking about our guides and what they do for us and how they can help us. That's what I'm going to do today. I'm going to give you kind of a little crash course. I talk to you very generally about the things that I have learned and how I work with my guide team and how you can learn to work with your guide team. So, first off, i want to say that, working with our guides, we have to learn to create a relationship with them. That's very important, and so, as we talk about this, know that. You know I've been doing this for a while. I've been doing this for a long time And sometimes I forget to.
I forget that I need to ask for help, i forget to call on them, i forget to bring them in, i forget to do a lot of things. But the thing that I know is when I do invite them in and when I do ask them to help me in my life, in my work, in my business, in my relationships, things go so much smoother. So I want to just throw that out there in the front line, that this is a lifelong relationship that you're building. You know, if you think about relationships in life, it takes a little bit of work And if we don't cultivate them, they kind of go to the wayside. And so as we're talking about this guide team, as we're talking about working with them, I want you to remember that this is building a relationship. First and foremost, you need to learn to build a relationship with your spirit team. But let's kind of backtrack for a minute. And what are spirit guides? I call them my team, so I kind of flip those back and forth. They are my team because I have a team of people, and so do you. But we can dumb it down a little bit and go down to so what is a spirit guide?
To begin with, a spirit guide is a highly evolved soul that once lived a life as a human. They have had that human experience. A lot of them were very noble. They might have been warriors, they might have been, you know, in my experience my main guide was a priest I think is what you would call him to a king. And so, you know, usually, they've lived in nobility. They've had, you know, bigger opportunities, and not always there can be different circumstances, but all of them have lived a human life and had that human experience with you. So they understand the emotion that gets caught up in living a human life. They understand that part of it. But they also carry that knowledge of the spiritual realm with them. They understand you on such a deeper level, even deeper than you will ever understand yourself because they keep that spirit realm. You know, when we incarnate and come into this physical body, we forget why we came here and what we were doing. They know all that. They remember that. They know what your purpose is. They know what you came here to do in this lifetime and they are here to help you do that. And they also help you understand and live in your soul's purpose. So that's kind of in a nutshell, what they do.
We have to understand that they see things through spiritual eyes which sometimes, when we're working with them, we're like what the hell? I'm still human. Can you remember that for me? They've lived your life, they understand it, but they see things on such a bigger picture that sometimes they get a little bit. They can seem a little standoffish. We'll put it that way or kind of like just do it and get your shit together, kind of thing. So this will come as you learn your guides and who they are and develop that relationship with them. But there can be that part right there that's like do they really understand that I'm human? I tell mine, you remember, right, that I still sleep at night. That's what I tell my daddy. You didn't forget that I'm still human, right, and I like to sleep, because you may be up at all hours of the day and night and don't require that anymore. But I do So. Don't forget that we joke around. But so the next part what is their role? We've kind of already talked about that. They help you stay on track with your soul's purpose. They support you in helping connecting you with people and things and places that you need to help you along your journey. They want to help you reach your goals and desires, and your guides can offer you insights through your intuition so they can help you accomplish and achieve the things that you wanted to do when you came here.
Now, I believe we all went through this little process before we incarnated and I'm sure, knowing myself the way that I am, I'm kind of a I call myself the get shit done girl. I'm sure my list was a mile long and I'm beyond sure that I went to all my guides and God and whoever you believe is in that other realm and said oh my gosh, I'm going to live the best life this time And this is what I'm going to accomplish. And I'm pretty sure that I rolled out the big ol long scroll, you know, the old scrolls that you roll up and I'm sure that it was just full because that's me. And I am also 100% sure that my guides looked at me and said are you for real? You understand how hard this is going to be And I'm like piece of cake, i got it, don't worry about it. We got this. You're going to try and keep up, or what's the deal here? and they're over there rolling their eyes going. You got to be kidding me. So Gina, so Gina, and so I'm pretty sure that that's.
I'm pretty sure that they probably tried to talk me out of some of it and I was just like we're good, let's just do this, come on, let's do this. And sure enough, we get down here and I don't know about you, but I've wondered some days what the hell I signed up for, what line I got in, what train I got on and what the hell I was thinking, because there's been some rough stuff, there's been some really rough stuff, but it's part of our learning and growth. I believe we all go through this process. We come here, we incarnate, we forget who we are in that spiritual sense, and I believe our growth and learning is to really learn to remember who we are and remember to bring that into this human existence, really honoring ourselves as a soul, honoring ourselves and the life that we live And, most importantly, not taking anything here too seriously. So our guides are here to help us work through that.
So I just want to talk about a couple of your guides today. I'm actually going to be teaching a class in a couple of weeks and you can find all the information about that in the show notes, but I just wanted to throw out a couple of your guides today and explain their purpose to them. In the class, i'm going to talk about our five main guides Today. I'm just going to briefly talk about three of them, and also in the class, i'm going to take you through a guided meditation to meet your guides. Now, the reason that I like to have you meet your guides is it's important to start cultivating a relationship with them, and our guides will come into our lives.
They each have their own personality. Some of them don't like to have names. Some of them don't like to be seen and heard in the front line. Others of them do. I have guides who are always right there up in my business, up in my face, reminding me, encouraging me and helping me to keep going. I have other guides who are in the background. I really don't even know their name. I don't know what they do, i just know they're there and it's fine. All of it is fine, i know.
When I went through my mediumship journey, i kind of decided that you know what. I don't really care who I was working with. I kind of learned to connect with them. You can learn to know which guide is coming in when. If you dedicate the time to do that. Guides have things that are called calling cards And we can really learn that, oh my gosh, when my nose twitches, that might be my main guide coming in. Or when you know I have people that their face gets itchy or their ears get warm or there's these different sensations that happen each and every time this certain guide comes in. They're here to help you learn those things. If you choose to, you can. When I teach these classes and when I walk you through that, that's kind of the beginning of opening the door to that relationship and showing you how to do that. And then the goal is to or, if you desire it is to kind of continue on with that relationship and continue setting with them in meditation, having them come into your space and feeling what you feel when they come into your space, because they will let you know that you have to, you have to desire it and you have to want it.

So let's backtrack a little bit. Let's talk about our three. I'm just going to throw out three guides today for you and we're just going to talk about them. One of my favorite guides and you may laugh. I remember when I was doing my main ishipped training I was like that's one of our guides. I hadn't even really thought about it. But our joy guide she's actually number one on my list of guides. How do you like that? And just exactly what does a joy guide do while she's here? to help you remember your childlike qualities?

So many times we get into this adult world and we forget to have fun, we forget to laugh, we forget to smile. We get so serious in this life that we forget this part of ourself. My joy guide if I need to lighten up a little bit, she messes with me. My computer starts messing up. It's funny. I've had weird words start coming up. Why I'm trying to text Like just funny stuff, like kids would do. You know, i've seen things out of the corner of my eye. It almost looks like glitter or like weird, weird, crazy things And it's really just my reminder to stop and slow down. Smell the roses, enjoy life. We're just here. We're here having an experience And I've said it a million times we came here to experience life. To me it's like going on vacation, and when you go on vacation you kind of let go of everything and quit worrying about everything at home, at least I try to and start moving into this place of really just soaking up every single moment, and we need to learn to do that every day in life, not just when we're on vacation. So this is kind of what she's here to do. She's here to remind you to absolutely be happy and to really learn to be lighthearted every day. So that's kind of her role.

If you see things, you know we kind of need to talk about the clairs, but we do that more in when we talk about calling cards with guides, when I teach about them. But you know, you can see your guides with your spiritual eyes, you can hear them, you can just know that they're there and you can feel them. We use our psychic senses really to connect with our guides. Now I, for me, i definitely see things and I definitely hear things and I definitely feel things and I damn well just know things like I know, like I've never known before, and I use all of them. You know you can use your senses, come in, you can smell them, you can taste them, you can, you know all the different things. And so these are called our clairs in the spiritual realm. But that's a whole other. That's a whole other thing that we can get into.

But you know, for me I definitely see my joy guide. You can see them, as you know, if you believe in the fairy lands or pixies or you know these kind of things. They also can be clowns, be things you know. If anything, if clowns are scary, then probably not that for you, but it can be anything that reminds you of childhood days and really laughing and having fun, those kind of things. So our joy guide can choose to show us herself. If you are seeing, if you can see through your spiritual eyes as you develop your spiritual senses. Or sometimes we just know, we just hear, we're just reminded. You know what. You don't have to take life so seriously. Sometimes other people can say things to us and that's our guide reminding us to take a chill, take a chill pill. So really learning to connect with her, seeing her, feeling her, knowing her. You know we do that through guided meditations, through just spending time, asking her to come in at any time, any day, anywhere.

I ask my guides every morning to come in and help me and guide me, help me be what I need to be, help me to see the people that I need to see. Help me to know what I need to know today so that I can do the work that I've been sent here to do. And you can do the same thing. Ask your joy guide, ask your guides to come in for you. Every single day You must ask for help. They will not intervene in your life unless it is life or death, and it's not your time to go unless you ask them. You absolutely have to ask them. So ask for that divine guidance, ask them to come in and then start listening, using your intuition and listening. So the next guide to come in is your protector guide. He understands that the earth is a dangerous place, both in the physical and in your energetic field, and he helps us protect us from dangerous situations, chase away the negative energies that can affect our, our energy and what we're doing here. So you know my protector guide. I talk to him frequently. Him and I have a deal. You know we can only connect with the spiritual realm or with the energies around us when we are wide open, and so him and I have a deal for a long time now. If I forget to close myself down, if I'm out doing work and I get in a hurry, he will immediately close me down so that I can go out and be in the world and not soak up all of the garbage.

When I was early in my development, that was a big deal for me, that was a big problem. I didn't like to go out into, didn't like people I still don't know that I like a lot of crowds or a lot of people, because I just prefer to be in my own little space But you know, that was a big deal for me, really for people who are impasse, for people who struggle with having their energy field open and filling everybody's stuff. You know, if you're going out into the world and you're feeling overwhelmed, you're getting headaches, you're feeling sick by being around all these people, this, really this guide, is the one that you can bring in and help you really shut down your energy fields, keep your energy clear so that you're not sucking up all the energy in the world And so that you can feel peaceful in your surroundings. They also can help us in times of need or when we need protection in the real world. I've had times where I just haven't felt safe and I know that that's my guide, reminding me that I need to be on guard. I know sometimes not very often I think I've been more afraid in the United States than I have traveling the world, but there have been times when I've just been told you know what you need to watch your surroundings, put your purse in front of you, pay attention literally like pay attention, wake the hell up. And so that's what this guide is here to do. So he's not only here to help us with the energetic part of it, but also with the physical part of it.

And the last guide that I want to talk about is your main guide, what he is here to do. I believe that we have kind of a main guide that oversees everything that goes on in our life. He's kind of the one that everybody goes to to see what they need. And this main guide is here to help you and assist you with kind of the broad spectrum of things. Especially for me and my spiritual team. He's kind of the one that I consult with, and everything else just kind of gets trickled down. So it's kind of like the CEO of my business here, of me. So that's kind of how my team works for me.

Other people I've seen their main guide has been in the background. I work with a lot of people help them see their guides, help them feel their guides, help them understand their guide team. Sometimes their main guide is just in the background. For me, he's front and center.

I actually met my main guide pretty much face to face when I went to Peru. We spent a couple of weeks in Peru and it was probably one of the most spiritual experiences that I've ever had. And then I literally woke up by my main guide. He introduced himself to me and told me to hurry up and get out of bed. We were headed to Machu Picchu that day and he told me to hurry up and get up, that I had a spiritual day ahead of me and that I needed to get ready to go, which ready to go to him meant showering, cleaning, sanitizing myself. It literally was this spiritual experience. It was really kind of.

At the time I was like what in the heck is going on? I could hear him playing this day like he was talking to me. We got up, got ready that morning super early, left. He rode to sit right next to me on the bus. If I would open my mouth and start asking questions, he would shut up. He wouldn't talk to me And he wasn't telling me to not talk, but he was basically saying would you just shut your mouth and listen to what I have to say to you? Anyway, i saw a lifetime the lifetime that him and I spent together and understood that day. It took me a while I won't say that day I had to go home and process it. It was a lot, but I understood the life that we had lived together and why he had chosen to be my main guide and why he was with me, and that was a really cool experience. Now, i've never had anything like that since that day, when it went on for hours.

Not everybody has those kind of experiences. I haven't had anything like that since, so that was a big experience for me. I've never forgotten that experience. It took me a while to even be able to talk about it without crying. That's how much it affected me When I saw these things and realized I literally came home from Peru a different person, and it was a very cool experience. I don't know that I would never expect to have anything like that again. I may, i don't know. It's very interesting. I always kind of go on my trips now and I'm like I wonder what's going to happen this time. Most of the time nothing really happens. Sometimes they do. It depends on where we go and what we do. Egypt was another very spiritual trip for me, but not like that one. It was very different from that.

So we can have these experiences with our guides and learn to see how they work with us and how we can work with them and what we need to do to be able to hear them and get their guidance from us and have them help us. So for me, my main guide is really who I call in, who I work with. He's given me his name. I call him Matu. It's a weird name to me. I don't know where it came from. I don't know what it means. It doesn't And to me, guides don't necessarily need to be named. But they understand that in the human world that's how we work. We like names, we like to have know what to call them when they come in and can go. Oh, okay, that's our way of identifying people. So they do understand that. And so a lot of times, sometimes we don't get names. I have guides I don't have names for, and it's okay; it doesn't matter. It doesn't mean that they don't want to work with us. It just means that we have to learn how each of them work with us and develop that relationship with them. So those are the three main guides that I wanted to talk about today.

I think this guide work is so important. If you want to learn more about guides, you can come and join me in my master class. You'll learn about the five major guides We'll actually walk through. I have a healer guide who's come in for me. I actually had a healer guide that left and a new one come in. My healer guide is very interesting. I see him as a little Chinese guy and he reminds me that healing doesn't have to be serious. All the time He makes me laugh. I see him in my healing sessions. When I would do Reiki healing, i would see him jumping down on top, up and down on top of my clients, and telling me would you stop taking this so seriously? I got you. It doesn't have to be this big, long, drawn out thing. You can come here. You can actually enjoy your time here and it's okay. He reminds me to be happy as well and makes me laugh during my healing sessions.

I have a mama guide. Her name is Noni. I do know her name. She has been part of my life for a while. She has come in during difficult times of being a mom When I've struggled with my kids and I've needed that love and support. She is that nurturing, loving support for me And I'm very grateful for that. So you can learn to, you know, meet these different people. I believe we're given the people that we need at the time in our lives to be supported. I believe that 100% they come in to hear, to help us and support us. You know, living here in the human world can be difficult at times, And we all need their support system. We all need these people to come in and help us and help us work through our stuff. So I hope this has been helpful for you.

I believe the more that we spend, the more time we spend with our guides, the better the relationship that you'll have. It's just like people here in the physical world if you don't nurture that relationship, you're not gonna understand it; it's gonna be confusing to you. But if you learn to nurture that relationship and to start to bring them in more often, invite them into your life, invite them to work with you, that's how you're gonna learn how to work with each one of your guides. They each have a specific way that they work with you. They each have a specific way that they let you know that they're there with you, And in order to do that, you've got to spend time cultivating that relationship. So I hope this has been helpful for you.
